Mrs. Ada Misher, 89, of South Fulton died Saturday, March 21, 2026, at her home.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Brooks Chapel Kingdom Harvest Church. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will begin at noon on Monday at the church.
Ada Mae Misher was born on October 21, 1936, in Fulton, Kentucky to her parents, the late Henry and Lucille Williams. Ada joined the Bells Chapel CME Church in Fulton at a young age. She served many years as an usher at the church. She later became a member of the Jacksonville Freewill Baptist Church where she remained until she passed.
Ada was married to Arthur B. Misher, Jr. in 1955. She was the mother of three children and worked very hard to support them. She worked as a cook at Ray’s Bar & Grill and at Park Terrace Restaurant. She was employed at H.I.S. Manufacturing for 37 years until the plant was closed. At this time, she decided to retire. Ada was a loving mother to her kids, grandchildren, and everyone who knew her. She will truly be missed by her family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons Thomas Brooks, South Fulton, TN, Arthur Misher (Margie), Memphis, TN, and 1 daughter Lavossie Johnson (Edgar), South Fulton, TN. A sister and a brother Betty Williams and Jimmie Williams of Chicago, IL Four grandchildren, Renaldo Johnson, Jackson, TN, Carlos Johnson (Marcea) Nashville, TN, Ryan Misher, Memphis, TN, Lukeisha Brooks, Cleveland, OH, April Brooks, Chicago, IL, thirteen great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. She has a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish her memory.
Ada was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Sarah Virginia Williams, Dorthy Williams, and Shirley William, and five brothers, Henry Leonard Williams, Charles E. Williams, James L. Williams, Henry E. Williams, and Joe L. Williams
