Alice Mae Cavitt

Ms. Alice Mae Cavitt, 60, of Martin died Sunday, June 1, 2014, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leroy Brent officiating. She was born September 26, 1953 to a loving father Scott Cavitt who preceded her in death and dedicated loving mother Mozell Thompson Cavitt from Martin TN who currently resides in Memphis, TN. She attended Martin Westview High School. Prior to her illness, Alice was outgoing and could be seen walking barefooted at any given time with a cigarette in one hand and a cool drank in her other hand. She is survived by two children, Peter Graves of Martin TN, LeeDora McKinley of Memphis TN; three grandchildren; and three brothers, Jack (Betty) Thompson of St. Louis MO, James (Gladys) Cavitt of Florida and Vernon (Sylvia) Cavitt of Memphis TN. She also leaves a host of other family and friends that will miss her dearly. She was also preceded in death by a son, Chet Graves and a sister, Inise Willoughby.
