Allean Robinson

Mrs. Allean Robinson, 82, of Union City died Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at Union City Manor Nursing and Rehab Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 11, 2013, at New Hope Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Smith officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. She was born in Hickman, KY to the late Joe Lee and Annie (Dickey) Harris on February 3, 1931. She was married to the late Walter M. Roberson on July 29, 1958. She was a member of New Hope Freewill Baptist. A former employee of Salant & Salant and Rainbow Cleaners. She later decided to help her husband with his business, Robinson Bar-B-Que Pit. Where they worked together for 30 years. She is survived by a daughter, Doris Robinson of Union City; a son, Charles Long of Ann Arbor, MI; three grandchildren, Christopher Robinson of Mainz, Germany, Lashanna Boykin of San Diego, CA and Prentice Robinson of Porterville, CA; six great grandchildren, Adylen Robinson of Wichita, KS, Diego Robinson Porterville, CA, Shaquille Robinson Benshun Boykin, Jacob Boykin and Isaiah Robinson all of San Diego, CA; and a brother, James Harris of Indianapolis, IN. She is preceded in death by her son, Glen Roach; a sister, Aner Mai Massey; and five brothers, Joe Lee Harris, Ollie Harris, Sr., Willie Harris, Elwood Harris and Oscar Harris.
