Alvin Browning, Jr.

Mr. Alvin Browning, Jr., 64, of Hickman died Sunday, January 26, 2014, at his residence. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Johnson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Steven Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Hickman City Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church. He was born on December 7, 1949, in Fulton County, KY to the late Alvin and Julia Mae (Donlow) Browning. He was married to Stella (McFarland) Browning on November 25, 1967. He attended Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from State of Kentucky and also worked as a farm worker. He leaves three sons, Alvin Browning, III and Corey (Hope) Browning both of Union City, TN and Anthony (Shelia) Browning of Hickman, KY; a daughter, Tomeka Smith of Hickman, KY; a grandson; TyAvious Isbell of Hickman, KY; two brothers, Alton Browning of Clinton, KY and Waudell (Karen) Browning of Hickman, KY; two sisters, Julia (Alvin) Mackins of Hickman, KY and Rosie L Hall of Minneapolis, MN; a special daughter, Ann Johnson of Hickman, KY; a special granddaughter, Tiffany Gossett; two special grandsons, Rod Gossett and Jonathan Robinson; a special friend Isbella Hewlett; one aunt; Adell Browning and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
