Andrew Freeman

Andrew Freeman was born May 12th, 1937, in Tiptonville, (Lake County) Tennessee. Andrew was the son of Gertrude and Willie Freeman who both proceeded him in death. He departed his earthly life on June 13th, 2026, at 1:30 pm.

Andrew was united in holy matrimony to Rachel Ann Atkins on June 1st, 1958. He was proceeded in death by his brothers, Willie Jr., Charles, RJ, Casey, and Charlie Louis and his sisters Ester Lou, Sercie, and Cleophus.

Andrew professed his faith at First Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He was staunch and active member. He enjoyed watching sports (Basketball), traveling, and spending quality time with his family and friends. He was affectionately called “Papa” by his Grandkids and Great-Grandkids.

He leaves many loved ones to cherish. His darling wife of 68 years, Rachel Ann Freeman, four children, Gregory (Michelle), Keith (Lula), Tracy (Robert) and Marcus (Rene). Andrew also leaves 10 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. 

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at McPhearson-Rawls Funeral Home Chapel. 

Interment will follow in Parham Cemetery.
