Annie Jones

Mrs. Annie Jones, 73, of Clinton formerly of Union City died Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Clinton Place.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023, in Rawls Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Annie was born on July 13, 1949, to the late James “Boots” and Minnie (Partee) Abbott. She was baptized at an early age at St. John II in Tiptonville, TN. When she was younger, Annie loved fishing, and spending time with her grandparents and Aunt Fat. She was not afraid of hard work and spent many years working at HIS, Liggets, and Tyson before retiring. After which, Annie enjoyed watching her cowboys and Tyler Perry movies. She loved her family and would do whatever she could to help them.

Annie leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Sheila Beanland and Letitisa Moffett of Fulton, KY; one son, Brian Abbott of Clinton, KY; two sisters, Jo Ann Frison of Tiptonville, TN and Nannie “Sister” Thomas of Columbus, KY; two brothers, Billy Abbott of Tiptonville, TN and Robert “Bud” Abbott of Columbus, KY; two aunts Willie Mae “Aunt Fat” Davis and Mary “Liz” Thomas; twelve grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Jones; son, Joseph Jones; and three brothers: William Earl “Red” Abbott, Hershel “Bubba” Coleman , and David “Swit” Abbott .
