Annie Russell Stray

Ms. Annie Russell Stray, 74, of Hickman died Thursday, August 20, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

A viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at Johnson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.

January 17, 1946, Mr. & Mrs. Russell Stray, Sr. were blessed with a daughter, Annie Russell Stray of Hickman, Kentucky.

She was a graduate of Riverview High School.

She was converted at an early age, baptized and served at Johnson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (Hickman) where she presided until the Lord called her home.

She was a retiree of Tyson Foods after 15 years in Union City, Tennessee.

She departed this life on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, Tennessee. Giving the deepest of respect and love, we must mention her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Russell Stray, Sr.; three sisters: Bessie Mae Davis, Carrie Lee Kinney and Florence Tucker; two brothers: Willie B. Stray and Russell Stray, Jr. all of whom preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories three sisters: Mrs. Evanna (Omer) Wilkins of Rantoul, Illinois, Mrs. Paulette Stray of Hickman, Kentucky and Mrs. Norma Hunter of Clinton, Kentucky; one special child she raised alongside of her sister as if he were hers, Mr. Russell Lamar Stray; a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends; and two god children: Monique Nicole Roberson and Perry E. Turner II.
