Augusta Idella Turner

Mrs. Augusta Idella Turner, 90, of Hickman died Monday, August 25, 2014, at Parkway Regional Hospital. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at Johnson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Hickman, KY with Rev. Steven Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Hickman City Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. She was born to the late Mr. Roman Walker and Mrs. Callie Mae Walker on May 3, 1924 in Hickman. She was a homemaker and a member of Johnson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memories of many years her daughters, Peggy (Leslie) Thomas of Elgin, Illinois, Mary Allen and Wanda (Charles) Johnson of Hickman, Kentucky and Shirley (Willie C.) Nicholson of Fulton, Kentucky; sons, Roland (Christine) Holder of Louisville, Kentucky and Ricky McKinney of LaCenter, Kentucky; nieces, Evangelist Audrey (James) Perry of Union City, Tennessee and Jeanette Thomas of Martin, Tennessee; a host of nephews, grandsons, granddaughters and other family members and a special friend, Brenda Dean of Hickman, Kentucky who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Russell Holder and Wyatt Turner; her parents, Roman Walker and Callie Mae Walker; two daughters, Gloria Dean Holder and Earlie Bishop; sister, Lizzie Thomas and brother, Monroe Hughes.
