Mr. Beauyett “Bill” Young, Sr., 74 of Union City died Sunday March 13, 2011, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 201 at Greater Victory Freewill Baptist Church in Union City, with burial following in East View Cemetery.
The Rev. Marvin Mays will officiate.

He was born Jan. 24, 1937, in Tiptonville, son of the late Luther and Thelma (Chamberlin) Young. He had been the owner of the former Billy’s Car Wash and had also been employed at the Obion County Nursing Home.
He was a member of Silver Trowel Masonic Lodge in Union City and Mount Zion Freewill Baptist Church in Tiptonville and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He is survived by three sons, Steve Young and Darryl Young, both of Chicago, and Beauyette Young Jr. of Union City; seven daughters, Cindy Young, Daphne Young, Gia Young and Antria Young, all of Chicago, Amy Young of Union City, Claudette Vincent of Georgia and Marlena Ware of Paducah, Ky.; his brother, Wade Young of Aurora, Ill.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Beauton Barrigher; and his brother, Cornell Young.
