Obituary

Mrs. Belinda Gossett, 67, of Fulton died Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Fulton Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026, in Hickman City Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday at McPhearson- Rawls Funeral Home Chapel.

She was born March 10, 1959, to Willie Marshall and Gladys Marie Barnett in her hometown of Hickman, Kentucky. She passed away on May 26, 2026. She was 67 years old and a resident of Hickman, KY. She was baptized in 1990 and was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

She graduated high school from Fulton County High School in Hickman, Kentucky and later went on to attend and graduate from West Kentucky Community and Technical College in 2016. She was in pursual of her Bachelor's of Arts degree at Eastern Kentucky University in Criminal Justice. Her goal was to become a Parole and Probation Officer. She worked as a process operator and in the nursing field for many years.

Belinda was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Gladys Barnett, three brothers: Willie Jr. Barnett, Bobby Dwayne Barnett, and Tommy Eugene Barnett; and six sisters: Janice Lamalle Barnett, Betty Jean Johnson, Louise Carrington, Debbie Denise Mayberry, Rochelle Barnett and Wanda Sue Ridenour.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her husband Willis Troy Gossett; three sons, Brian Joseph Barnett, Ryan Dale Barnett, and Daricus Manai Cheirs; six grandchildren: Heather Brianne Barnett, Dushawn Barnett, Trevon Barnett, Elijah Marshall Barnett, Tayla Shae Barnett, and Jazmen Annalynn Barnett. Three sisters: Helen Hobbs of Fulton, KY, Margaret Moore of Lexington, KY, Percilla Ann Barmore of Union City, TN; one brother, Golden Barnett of Union City, TN, one uncle, Charles Touries of Huntingdon, TN, and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved and adored.
