Mrs. Bernice Grandberry, 59, of Union City died Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2014, at Vine Street Church of Christ. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church. She was born April 1, 1955, to Charlie Ruth Lee and Johnny Lee, Jr. She grew up in Kenton, Tennessee and was baptized as a youth and was a member of Taylor Street Church of Christ in Kenton and Vine Street Church of Christ in Union City. She received her CNA certificate and worked as a CNA for the past twenty years at various nursing homes. She is survived by two daughters, Aletha (Aaron) Morris and LaVickie (Carale) Shields; seven grandchildren, Garrion Lee, Shanterika Dysart of Columbus, Ohio, DeShawn Nettles, Tamara Nettles, Aaron “A. J.” Morris, Jr., Charale Shields and A’rale Shields; two step grandchildren, Tyron and Bradley Morris; her mother, Charlie Ruth Lee of Union City, Tennessee; brothers, Garland (Diane) Lee of Dyer, Tennessee, Quinton (Amy) Lee of Kenton, Tennessee and Billy Lee of Union City, Tennessee; aunts, Bennie Edmonds and Martha Simpson of Kenton, Tennessee, Nannie Sowell of Dyer, Tennessee and Mary Lee Simpson of Rutherford, Tennessee; a special cousin, Martha Helen Pitts of Union City, Tennessee and a host of other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Johnny Lee, Jr.; her husband, Robert Early Grandberry and her stepdaughter, Quinsola Michelle Grandberry. Rawls Funeral Home – Union City 731-885-8110
