Beverly Thomas

Mrs. Beverly Thomas, 73, of Union City died Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Lourdes Hospital.

Services will be held at noon on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel.

Beverly Thomas was born August 25, 1947 to the late John H. Barber, Sr. and Clemmie Barber in Jackson, Michigan.

She was an Employee with Gurien Finishing, Walmart and then retired from the Union City School System after working for a number of years. Beverly was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She leaves to cherish her memories a long lifetime partner of 40 plus years, Jackson Siples of Union City, Tennessee; two children: June Barber of Union City, Tennessee and Gerald Barber of Detroit, Michigan; one brother, John H. Barber, Jr. of Jackson, Michigan; six step-children; Jerome, Cynthia & Sherman Jackson, Dexter and Yolanda Siples; along with three grandchildren: Antawn Coby, Tinelle Surber, Daylisha Hall Reed, Myreisha Barber, Jordan Powell, Tyren Newsom, Riley and Isiah McDonald; and four great grandchildren: Acie Coby, Madison Balfour, Bailey Balfour and Zen Reed.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, John H. Barber, Sr. and Clemmie Barber along with one grandson, Maceo Moore.
