Billy Ray Avent

Mr. Billy Ray Avent, 61, of Paducah formerly of the Fulton area died Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Baptist Health in Paducah.

Services will be held at noon on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel in South Fulton. Interment will follow in Mayfield Memory Gardens.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Billy Ray Avent was born on January 12, 1962, in Fulton, KY to Robert and Earnestine Buntyn Avent.

Billy was formerly employed working on the river.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Avent; maternal grandparents, Jessie and Lealer Buntyn; and paternal grandparents, John and Annie Avent.

Billy is survived by his mother, Earnestine Avent of Mayfield, KY; two aunts, Phyllis Johnson of Jackson, TN and Fannie Pearl Hussey of Grand Junction, TN; two uncles, Charles (Mary Ann) Buntyn of Xavier, OH and John Henry Buntyn of Kentucky; a special cousin, Isabella Hussey of Wingo, KY; a host of cousins and friends.
