Bobbie Jean Puckett

Mrs. Bobbie Jean Puckett, 80, of Henry died Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Henry County Medical Center.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Caton Springs Cemetery in Henry.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday and on Saturday from noon until time of services at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel.

She was born on June 1, 1941, in Clarksburg, TN to the late Bill and Elizabeth Weathers Melton. She married the late George Puckett on October 5, 1970. She was a member of Parker Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She worked as a caregiver for over 60 years.

She is survived by three children, Dossie Ray Melton, Maryrose Jeanette (Paul) Crawford and Jerry Paul Melton; a stepdaughter, Brenda (Jamie) Springfield; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; four sisters, Sarah Melton, Patricia Seats, Alice Parker and Marilyn Buckley; three brothers, Thomas Melton, Roger Dale (Linda) Melton and Ellis Ray Melton; a brother-in-law, Andrew (Michelle) Martin; two sisters in law, Louise (Orther) Steward and Daisy Melton; a host of other relatives.

She was also preceded in death by an infant son; a stepson, Reynaldo Milton; brothers, Joe Wesley Melton, Bobby Slaten, Joe Slaten, Denny Lee Weathers, Jimmy Ray Melton, Sr., Roger Lyn Melton and Paul Melton and sisters, Dorothy McKinney, Jewel Menzies and Nell Parker.
