Calvin Wayne Wilson

Mr. Calvin Wayne Wilson, 64, of Hickman died Tuesday, May 24, 2022.

Services will be held at noon on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church.

God’s chosen vessel, Calvin Wayne Wilson was born December 23, 1957, to the late L.B. Wilson and the late Lucy (Jones) Wilson in Hickman, Kentucky.

Calvin professed a hope in Christ at an early age. He became a Deacon at Pleasant Hill MB Church on September 8, 1991. He served as the finance bookkeeper as well. He served many years faithfully.

Calvin attended Western Elementary School, graduated from Fulton County High School in 1976. He attended the University of Louisville Kentucky for one year then he went into the workforce.

Calvin was a faithful Past Master of Golden Cross Lodge #116 Woodland Mills TN. On July 23, 1989, he received his Scottish Rites of 32 degree of the Royal Serret of Dyersburg TN. On September 15, 1990, Calvin became an Imperial Council of the Mystic Shrine Zarah Temple #151 of Jackson TN.

Calvin worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 30 years. He was hired on September 26, 1977 and retired on October 1, 2007. He was 49 years old when he retired. He was a very hard worker, and he taught his children his work ethics. He truly enjoyed being retired!

Those to welcome Calvin into the Heavenly Kingdom: His parents- L.B. and Lucy Wilson, Step-Mother- Sara Wilson; A brother-Casey Wilson, three sisters-Lois Jean Wilson, Mae Ola Crutchfield, Averil Jean Matthews. A special niece Maressa Twana Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife and soulmate, Mrs. Shirley Wilson of forty-three years, two sons Steve (Alisha) Wilson and Jarvis (Paulette) Wilson, Hickman, Ky. One daughter who is his baby girl April (LaShawn) Webster, Jackson, TN. Seven Grandchildren, Brendan (Ronieka Blair) Wilson, Justus Wilson, Tristen Wilson, Jamya Clay, Mahogany Webster, Nyjha Webster, and Chenise (Tommy) Nolan. Eight Great Grandchildren, Brendley Wilson, Avalynn Nolan, India Wilson, Kaysen Springfield, Kayden Wilson, Amiya Nolan, Rakiya Nolan, and Zayleona Nolan.
