Carolyn Tharpe Gladney

Mrs. Carolyn Gladney, 74, of Fayetteville, NC formerly of Paris died Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

A viewing will be held from noon until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

She was born on August 2, 1946, to the late Robert L. and Sadie Haynes Tharpe.

She was a 1964 graduate of Central High School.

She is survived by her children, Darryl Gladney of Clarksville, Felicia Gladney Hilton of Fayetteville, NC and Ken (Tora) Gladney of Nashville; special companion, Lanza Burton; brothers, Robert (Patricia) Tharpe of Paris, Tennessee, Leonard (Stephanie) Tharpe of Gallatin, Jimmy Tharpe of Nashville, Ronnie (Shelia) Tharpe of Stanford, Virginia, Michael (Roberta) Tharpe of Clarksville; sisters, Doris (Gardner) Morales and Teresa Tharpe, both of Paris Sandra (Carl) Pearson of Radcliff, KY, Lela Teague of Nashville; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Marvin Burton, Joyce Phillips, Carol Tharpe Kennedy and Linda Bennett.
