On August 22, 2021 Precious 5-year-old Carter Bonds earned his angel wings and is now in the loving arms of Jesus Christ. Carter was born on March 31, 2016 in Martin, Tennessee to Lauren Bonds and the late Stephen Houston.

Carter was a special brave little boy who endured over three years of his short but very impactful life on dialysis. Although he suffered most of his life with kidney disease, he never let it stop him from being joyful. He was fearless and a very happy little boy. Carter was very dear to all those who knew him. He had the most beautiful smile which could light up a room. Little Carter had a love for music and dancing, his cats Ginger and Cherry (Kitty Meows- as he referred to them), and the color blue. Most importantly he loved his family. Carter also had a special bond with his younger brother Kyland whom he enjoyed playing with.

Carter will be deeply missed and never forgotten by all of those who held him close to their heart. Carter will be missed beyond measure.
Carter is survived by his loving mother Lauren Bonds who never left his side, his step-father DeAngelo Reed, two brothers Kyland of Union City, TN and Boston Roberson of Troy, TN. Others he leaves behind include his maternal “Mimi” Nina McNeill Burpo and “Peepaw” Brad Ingle of Union City, TN and Grandfather Steve Bonds of South Fulton, TN. Carter is also survived by his paternal Grandmother Tanya Knox of Hickman, KY and is preceded in death by his Grandfather Steven Burton from Fulton, KY. Carter also leaves behind his loving aunts and uncles.

The family wishes to thank LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee and a very special thank you to Bailey who Carter adored.

Rest in Paradise Sugie B, we all love you. You will always be our hero. That's my Sugie B.
