Mr. Charles Johnson Fisher, 69, of Tiptonville died Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Tennova Healthcare – Dyersburg Regional. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Main Street Church of Christ in Tiptonville with Brother Rossie Taylor officiating.Interment will follow in Citizens Cemetery.Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the church.He was born January 12, 1948, to James Henry and Mattie Avery in Tiptonville, TN.He was added to the Church of Christ and was a member of Highway 22 Church of Christ. He worked many years in law enforcement as a Deputy Sheriff and a policeman with the City of Tiptonville. He was well known Barbecue Cook and a car detailer.He leaves to mourn his passing his children, Vanessa Elam, Cassandra Crawford, Lamar Fisher and Elishea Fisher; seven sisters, Linda (Henry) Clay, Wanda Smith, Patty (Jerry) Ward, Veronica Cadney, Jerri Avery, Brendale Avery and Tammy (Eric) Hubbard; three brother, Ronnie Covington, Bryan Avery and Kevin (Laurie) Avery; seven grandchildren, Rod Elam, Ricky Elam, Cameron Pirtle, Caleen Crawford, Amaya Fisher, Adrian Fisher and Kinsley Campbell; three great grandchildren; aunt Christine Jackson and a host of nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, James Henry and Mattie Avery; two brothers, Charles Johnson and James Robert Avery and grandparents, Allie B and Christine Fisher.
