Charlie Ruth Lee

Mrs. Charlie Ruth Lee, 88, of Union City died Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at Milan General Hospital.

Private family services were held. Interment followed in East View Cemetery.

She was born on December 11, 1930, to the late Charlie and Daisy Simpson in Gibson County. She graduated from Rosenwald High School in Trenton, a former employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co and a founding member of Taylor Street Church of Christ in Kenton.

She was married on October 18, 1952, to the late Johnny Lee, Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Garland (Diana) Lee of Dyer, TN, Quinton (Amy) Lee of Kenton, TN and Billy (Kim) Lee of Union City; two sisters, Nannie Sowell of Dyer, TN and Mary Lee Simpson of Rutherford, TN; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Garrion Browning and a daughter, Bernice Grandberry .
