Mr. Curtis Leon James, 76, of Union City died Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2018, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leroy Brent officiating. Interment will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

He was born on December 20, 1941, in South Fulton. He was married to Cloresa (Ingram) James. He attended Rosenwald School, a United States Army veteran and a member of True Gospel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Cloresa James of Union City; a daughter, Stephanie (John) Wynn of South Fulton; four stepchildren, Larquinte Ingram, Taskay Ingram and Dennis Lewis, Jr. of Union City and Denise Lewis of Martin; a sister, Mary Turner of Chicago; a step brother, James “Hub” Milligan of Union City; three step sisters, Estella Cummings of Los Angeles, Johnnie Woody of Paducah and Della Jenkins of South Bend; sixteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Morris Cloar; four brothers, Lee William Ward, Harold Ward, Robert Milligan and George Milligan and a sister, Mary Carter.
