Cylen Freeman

Cylen Freeman, 13, of Hickman died Friday, April 7, 2023.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Fulton County High School. Interment will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the school.

Cylen Treshaun Freeman was born October 2, 2009, to his parents, Andrea Elam-Butler and Christopher Freeman, Sr.

Cylen attended Fulton County Middle School. He was a very active 7th grader. He was exceptional in track & field, football, and basketball.

Cylen loved to dance and was known for his contagious smile.

Cylen was a member of Turning Point Ministries, under the leadership of Pastor Mike McClure.

He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Iris Mae Busby, Richard Busby, Sr., Hattie Warren , J.T. Elam , and Bessie Elam ; and great-great grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. Fred Scott an Mr. & Mrs. Fred Dinwiddie.

Cylen leaves to cherish his memories, his parents, Andrea Elam-Butler and Christopher Freeman, Sr.; bonus mom, Karmen Isbell; grandparents, Jacqueline Elam, Connie Elam and Willie B. Warren, Marie Freeman; great-grandmother, Annie Louis Mitchell; two maternal brothers: Landen Freeman and Jayden Smith; five paternal brothers: Christopher Freeman, Jr. Cabren Freeman, Jordan Gaston, Zayvion Hall and Jacori Thomas; six paternal sisters: A’Nyya Freeman, A’Miijah Freeman, A’Laysia Freeman, Ja’Kylee Kinney, Brailynn Freeman and DiRiah Bates; and one nephew Dylan Hammond, Jr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
