Mr. Davey "David" Andrew Wilkins, 76, of St. Louis died Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at his home. Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Parham Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church. He was born on November 16, 1948, in Martin Tennessee to Dorothy Clara Wilkins. Davey was the second born of seven siblings, three sisters and three brothers, him being the oldest brother. He was rooted deeply in St. Louis, Missouri and Martin. Davey accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age at Wayman Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church. Davey attended school in Martin until the third grade. The family moved to St. Louis in 1955, where he attended elementary and high school until he was drafted to serve in the United States Army during the Vietnam War (1969 - 1971). He returned to St. Louis in 1971, with an Honorable Discharge, and resided there until God called him to receive eternal rest on Tuesday June 17, 2025. He was employed at Wagner Manufacturing Co., Adm Milling Co. and worked many construction jobs. Davey was laid back, enjoyed his solitude, and lived a simple and full life. He loved eating, watching television (Star Trek, National Geographic Shows, Discovery Channel) and socializing with family and friends. Davey was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and loyal friend. Over the last few years Davey’s health began to decline; however, he continued to live his life. He was at peace and was intentional about being a blessing to his daughter, siblings and other close family members. Davey leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved daughter, Angela D. Ewing (Riverside CA), granddaughters, Heidi, Darquita, Khy’Leiah, grandsons, Aarion, DeMarco, Ah’Mari; sisters, June Marberry (Detroit), Jewel White (Martin), Helen Marberry (Atlanta), brothers Raymond Marberry (Linda) and Alan Marberry (Felicia) (St. Louis), nieces (Regina, Christine, Camita, Jessica, Casey), nephews (William, Demetrius, Carl) many cousins to include Patsy Ekwegbalu whom he dearly loved, Penny McDonald, James Graves, and Eleanor Faye Brown, several great grandchildren, great nieces, great nephews, a host of relatives, longtime friend Harold Stewart and many other friends.
