Mrs. Deloris Hartsfield, 64, of South Fulton died Friday, April 6, 2018, at Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, GA. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018, at Kingdom Harvest. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.Visitation will begin at noon on Friday at the church.Today we celebrate the life of Deloris Theresa Hartsfield, born January 27, 1954 to Marvin and Mattie Lou Garmon in Water Valley, KY. Deloris was an active member of Brooks Chapel Ministries for many years, and was the mother of three beautiful daughters Amanda Hartsfield (Lexington, KY), Ashlee and Andreal Hartsfield (Atlanta, GA). Also, six grand children, Diamond, Malik, Audarius, Zari, Jermon, and Jeremy Jr. Deloris was the first African American teller at City National Bank, where she dedicated many years before becoming the voice of Parkway Regional Hospital. She was employed at Parkway for 15+ years as a dedicated receptionist before retiring in 2015. She was happiest spending time with her children, grandchildren, her beloved dog China, and helping others. She will forever be known for her contagious smile and bubbly personality as she never met a stranger. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Mattie Lou Garmon and brothers Marvin (Carolyn) and George (Faye) Garmon.
