Mr. Derrick Deontray Swift, 26, of Tiptonville died Sunday, October 11, 2020, at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at St. John Missionary Baptist Church #2 in Tiptonville. Interment will follow in Hickman City Cemetery in Hickman, KY.
Derrick Deontray Swift was born on April 4, 1994 to Tekeema Swift and Christopher Hockett in Mayfield, KY.
He was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church #2. He graduated from Lake County High School where he was a star basketball player.
He is survived by his children, Caloen Ramone Swift and Kylie Swift; parents, Tekeema Swift and Christopher Hockett; siblings, Tyeus Jones, Christina Hockett, Te’Anna Jones, Jamarquay Brooks and Keana Hockett; maternal grandparents, Roy Swift and Francis Swift; paternal grandparents, Patricia (Leonard) Dickerson; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by great grandparents, Johnnye Louise Pointer and Earnest Pointer.
