Mrs. Diana Howard, 75, of Paris died Saturday, March 12, 2011, at Henry County Healthcare.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Quinn Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church. Rev. Bobby Carter will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Rawls Funeral Home.
She was born June 6, 1935, in Henry County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Searcy Sr. and Nellie Cherry Searcy.
Her husband, James “Preacher” Howard, preceded her in death.
She leaves four daughters: Jill Howard of Paris, Stephanie Howard of Chicago, Lisa (Felix) Hardin of Atlanta and Janice (Clarence) Parks of North Carolina; one son: Nicholas Howard of Paris; three sisters-in-law: Peggy Searcy, Robbie Parks and Francies Gaston; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special friend: Hattie Burton.
She also was preceded in death by three sons: Dewight, Daryl and James Howard; one daughter: Cheryl Howard; three brothers: Lawrence Lewis, Samuel Searcy Jr., and Frazier Searcy; and two sisters: Lorraine Rainey and Louise Bruce.
