Dietrich Mays

Mr. Dietrich Mays, 50, of Union City died Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at his home.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025, at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.

He was born on August 20, 1974, in Chicago, IL to Lynn and Shirley Mays. He graduated from Union City High School in 1993. He served as an usher for Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and help with the church Meals on Wheels program for over 20 years. A Laymen with Obion River District, on the feeding committee for the Casey Johnson Center and had been employed with Discover Park of America.

He is survived by his father, Len Mays; siblings, Stephanie Mays, Sylvester Simpson, Jerel Mays and Michael Hardnett; three nieces, Hilary Mays, Parishope Eaton and Lalya Mays; three nephews, Malik Mays, Trevon Mays and Jay Mays; four Adalynn Meadows, Ava Meadows, Aunisti Mays and K’Rhya Mays and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Mays
