Donte Barnett

Mr. Donte Barnett, age 28, of Martin, formerly of Union City, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, June 19, 2026.

A service celebrating his life will take place at noon on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at McPhearson-Rawls Funeral Home Chapel. He will be laid to rest at East View Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to visit on Friday, June 26, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Born on June 10, 1998, in Union City, Donte was the beloved son of Erica Ware and Jerome (Lacey) Barnett. He graduated from Obion County Central High School in 2016, where he was a cherished manager of the basketball team.

Donte's legacy continues through his loving family: his siblings, Sequence Ware, Jacob Quinn, Kwele Barnett, and Ameer Barnett; his grandmother, Kimberly Amos; his nephew, Braxtyn Ware; and the children he adored as a father figure, Kinsley Brooks, Harmonie King, Emberlee King, and Honee King. He is also fondly remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ricky Ware, and Coleen and John Barnett.
