Dorothy Buck

Mrs. Dorothy Puckett Buck, 69, of Puryear died Thursday, June 8, 2023, at AHC Paris.

Services will be held at noon on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church.

She was born on July 3, 1955, to her loving parents Freeman Puckett, Jr. and the late Evelyn Lucille Milliken Puckett in Paris, Tennessee.

Dorothy was reared in Puryear, TN and was educated in the Pais Henry County School system graduating from Henry County High School, class of 1971.

She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age. Dorothy was a member of Union Grove MBC attending faithfully until her health begin to fail. She was a member of the mass choir and Joy Fellowship.

Dorothy worked at Holley Carburetor Plant and Dana, retiring in 2008.

Dorothy loved God, family, and being the mother role to her nieces and great nephews. She enjoyed shopping, listening to music, and singing with the choir. One of her favorite songs was, “We've Come This Far by Faith.”

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Buck, her mother, Evelyn Puckett, and a host of aunts and uncles.

Leaving behind to cherish her loving memories, father; Freeman Puckett, Jr., Puryear, TN, sisters; Betty Puckett, Paris, TN, Suzanne (Jesse) Travis, Paducah, KY; brother, Randy (Denise) Puckett, Paris, TN; nieces, Kia and Alyssa Puckett, Dayna (Alex) Jordan, and Angela Thomas; great-nephews, Brandon Donaldson, Jayden Collins, and Preston Jordan; great nieces, Heaven “Scrappy” Bowen, Haevyn Tharpe, Aleiyah Fuller; great-great nieces, Laiel, Kyrah Jade, Emryn Skyre; aunts, Eva J. Puckett, Roberta Reynolds, Francis Willis, Pearline Puckett; uncle, James Thomas Milliken; step siblings, Dennis (Charrita) Teague, Wendell (Honey) Teague, Bobby (Althea) Teague, Lawrence (Lola) Teague, Willie Ruth (Jerry) Pearson; adopted sisters, Lois Crump, and Sylvia Martin; god-children, Roesha Jones, DeMetrixa Dolberry, and a host of other relatives and friends.
