Dorothy Jean Olive, a beloved member of the community, passed away on January 23, 2026, in Paris, TN, at the age of 75. Born on July 8, 1950, in Henry County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Mollie Thompson Olive and Leon Olive. Dorothy's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to family, work, and her faith.

A proud graduate of Henry County High School, Class of 1970, Dorothy went on to build a career working at Holly Carburetor and later at Mohon International. Her colleagues remember her not only for her strong work ethic but also for her upbeat demeanor that brightened the workplace.

Beyond her professional life, Dorothy was cherished as the family cook during the holidays. Her cooking brought joy to many gatherings, creating memories that her loved ones will hold dear. She had a passion for shopping, often finding delight in trips to Walmart, a small but vibrant testament to her everyday joys.

Dorothy was an active member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church, where her faith flourished, underscoring her commitment to her community and her spirituality. She leaves behind a loving family who will greatly miss her presence. Surviving her are her sisters: Sadie Olive Hill, Vivian Olive, Luvenia Olive, and Velma (Donald) Olive Stubblefield. She is also survived by her nieces: Maxine Hill, Deborah Hill, Sonya (Donnie) Tharpe, Maegan Stubblefield, and Endia Stubblefield, along with her great-nieces and nephews: Sydnee Lyons, Kevin Hill, Derek Hill, Chynna Hayes, Tara Tharpe, Emerald Fentress, Silver Fentress, Ali Bomar, DiVine Bomar, Camelia Bomar, Khyson Tharpe, and Brior Hudson.

A visitation will be held in her honor on January 31, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Both services will take place at McPhearson-Rawls Funeral Home in Paris, TN, located at 790 Tennessee 69. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Dorothy Jean Olive will be remembered not only for her remarkable contributions to her family and community but also for the warmth and love she shared with all who knew her. Her spirit will continue to resonate in the lives she touched, and her memory will remain a comforting presence in the hearts of her loved ones.
