Eddie Ray Dean, Sr. was born on December 24, 1950, in Hickman, Kentucky, to the late Willie Clint Dean and Sarah Chambers Dean.

Eddie was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather ("Pa Pa"), brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Thomas Chapel C.M.E. Church, where he remained a faithful and dedicated member throughout his life. His unwavering faith in God and commitment to his church served as the foundation of the life he lived, touching the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He attended Riverview High School and Fulton County High School. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, completing his training at Parris Island, South Carolina, where he proudly served his country with honor and dedication.

After his military service, he began a long and successful career with Goodyear Tire & Rubber in Union City, Tennessee, where he worked faithfully until his retirement. In retirement, he found great joy intending to his garden, caring for his greenhouse, and spending countless hours on his beloved tractor. What began as a hobby blossomed into a true passion, earning him the reputation of becoming an "average farmer" in his own words, though those who knew him would likely say he was anything but average.

He was united in holy matrimony to Brenda Joyce Hagler and to this union three children were born, Eddie Ray Dean Jr, Danielle Joyce Dean, and Deanna Jeannette Dean.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Brenda Joyce Dean; one son, Eddie Ray Dean, Jr. (Alicia) of Hickman, Kentucky; two daughters, Danielle Dean of Paducah, Kentucky, and Deanna Dean of Hickman, Kentucky; two sisters, Bettye Mayes and Jeannette Dean, both of Hickman, Kentucky; five cherished grandchildren, Nehemiah Dean, Quentae Mayes, Genesis Fulks, Journey Fulks and Devy Dean; one brother-in-law, Willie R. Hagler (Kimberly); and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Clint and Sarah Dean, maternal and paternal grandparents.
