Edgar "Sonny" Harmon

Mr. Edgar "Sonny" Harmon, 76, of Union City died Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at True Gospel Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel. From noon until time of service on Saturday at the church.

He was born on August 8, 1942, in Ripley, TN to the late Edgar and Earlean Harmon . He was married to Kathryn Alston Harmon for 32 years. A member of True Gospel Baptist Church and a retired employee of Williams Sausage.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Kathryn Harmon; a daughter, Sarah Wiggins; Kathryn 's sons, Stephon Alston, Carl Coby, Jr., John Coby and Kevin Coby; a sister, Dorothy Halliburton; a sister in law, Jeanette Harmon and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a brother Thomas Harmon and a sister Ada Mae Coleman.
