Mrs. Edna W. Smith, 90, of Hickman died Friday, November 29, 2013, at Haws Memorial Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. James Roberson officiating. Interment will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
She was born August 19, 1923, to the late Willie and Vinnie Lawrence Williams in Halls, Tennessee. She was married to the late James Smith. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters, Edna Garden of Michigan, Rose Smith of Toledo, Ohio, Katheryn Walker of Michigan and Mae (Greg) Wilson of Hickman, Kentucky; four sons, James E. Smith and Charlie (Carolyn) Smith of Hickman, Kentucky, George Barry (Gail) Smith of LaCenter, Kentucky and Michael (Melissa) Smith of Fulton, Kentucky; a special grandson whom she raised, Joel Mays and a special granddaughter whom she raised as her own, Jomanda Mays and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers; sisters; husband and two sons.
