Mrs. Ellarine Moses, 83, of Union City died Saturday, August 1, 2026, at her home.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday August 8, 2026, at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at noon on Saturday at the church.

Cora Ellarine Moses, a cherished and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and a woman of unwavering faith, made her grand entrance into the gates of heaven on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the age of 83.

She was born July 17, 1943, to the late Ella Abbott and the late Daniel Robinson. She was a 1961 graduate of Merry High School in Jackson, TN. She became a Christian at an early age and became a faithful and dedicated member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church of Union City, TN., where she wore many, many hats including Sunday School superintendent, member of the Patsy McCord Circle, sang in the choir, and was voted president of the Mother Board.

A pillar of this community, she devoted her time and attention to many organizations including Bathsheba Chapter #16 OES, Habitat for Humanity, several years on the Union City School Board, the Promethean Project, Reading Railroad, Northwest CSA, the Obion County Library Board, Regional Library Board, Northwest TN Headstart, Obion County Judicial Commissioner, Boys and Girls Club, Crime Stoppers, and the Obion River District.

Ellarine loved her family dearly, especially her grand-dog, Jake from Start Farm! She enjoyed collecting mini teapot sets, postcards, and figurines. Her beautiful smile, sweet, kind, loving, gentle heart of gold will greatly be missed. Her words of wisdom will be remembered for years to come. We are so grateful to God for sharing the gift of Cora Ellarine Moses with us.

She was united in holy matrimony on May 11, 1964, to Henry Lee Moses, Jr., who preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory 3 children, Arisa (Melvin) Ashley of Jackson, TN., Ella (Virgil) Hickey of Rockvale, TN., and Emeka Moses of Elizabethon, TN., 2 stepchildren, Otondaette Felton of Union City, TN., and Tierney (Kendice) Carter of Houston, Texas; 2 sisters, Charlotte King of Martin, TN., and Shelia Abbott of Union City, TN., and a special great granddaughter, Lilyana Moses. She also leaves 20 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Henry Lee Moses III, her grandson, Jodeci Moses, and her brother, Bobby Joe Robinson.
