Emma Jean Hillard

Ms. Emma Jean "P-Town Queen" Dunlap Hillard, 63, of Paris, TN died Sunday, May 26, 2024, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Mount Zion Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at noon on Saturday at the church.

She was born May 29, 1960, in Paris, TN to her late parents Myra Jean Dunlap and Lonzie William Dunlap, Sr.

Emma Jean attended Central High School and later obtained her G.E.D. She was a home maker and a faithful member of Pentacostal Presbyterian Church in Henry, TN and was a strong believer.

Emma Jean’s greatest joy, love and happiness was being with her daughters, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, as well as other family and close friends. She enjoyed helping others in need, playing cards, games, and listening to music as well as her love for cooking.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her loving daughters Shunna Wilson and Jameshia Tharpe; sisters: Mary Ann Humphrey of Paris, TN, Eula Ray Nored of Paris, TN Cynthia (Roger) Tharpe of Hendersonville, TN, brothers: Timothy Dunlap of Ridgely, TN; grandchildren: Keyona Johnson, Exavrionna Floyd, Christeonna Tharpe, Jayda Jones, Harmony Hill, Lyric Hill, And Da’carlos Cowan; great grandchildren: Eri’Yanna Brooks, Amariion Jones, Fiancé’ Rodrick (Skip) Wash; best friends/sisters: Lannie Phelps, Brenda Kendall, Gloria Ann Patton, and Alicia Jackson. bonus children: Jerry Donald, Reginald Wiseman, Chris (Rita) Boane, Jason Teague; bonus granddaughters: Jalee (Brent) Vail and Aubri Boane; bonus great- grandson, Parker Vail; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other family & friends.

Preceded in death by her parents Myra Jean Dunlap and Lonzie William Dunlap, Jr.; grandparents Maggie Curtis and B.T. Curtis; sisters: Brenda Kay Dunlap and Lousie Somerville; brothers: Haynes Berry, Jr. and Lonzie William Dunlap, Jr.
