Ernest Guthrie

Mr. Ernest Guthrie, 72, of South Fulton died Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at West Tennessee Healthcare Volunteer Hospital in Martin.

Private funeral services were held on Saturday, May 16, 2020, at 11 a.m. in Rawls Funeral Home Chapel in South Fulton. Interment followed in Greenlea Cemetery.

He was born on March 10, 1948, in Fulton, KY to the Ruby Hayes and Charles Wesley Guthrie. He was preceded in death by a son Frank "Chip" Douglas and two sisters, Neeley Mae Guthrie and Ruthie Busby.

He leaves behind a devoted significant other, Doris Parrott; a son Ernest "Kenny" (Jessie) Guthrie of Killeen, TX; three daughters, Stephanie Guthrie, Kenisha Guthrie and Freda Brown of Union City; seven grandchildren, three siblings, Sondra Norris of Peoria, IL Walter Guthrie of Union City, TN and Fred Guthrie of Bolivar, TN and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
