Eugene King

Mr. Eugene King, 89, of Paris died Thursday, May 27, 2021, in Houston, TX.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2021, in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel.

Eugene J. King born June 2, 1931 was the only son of five children born to Carey and Elvira King in Midville, GA.

He was educated in the Fort Lauderdale Public School System.  After High School, he enlisted in the United States Air Force.  After returning home, Eugene had many jobs.  Two of his longest extended jobs were with Trailways Bus and Amica Mutual Life Insurance Co., both which he retired from.

In 1979 he entered into Holy Matrimony with Immokalee Knight.  Eugene had four biological children and one very special Son.

Eugene was always a hard worker for his family and also our extended family.  Eugene opened many of the King’s Family Reunion Business Meeting with a prayer.  In essence, Eugene helped out wherever our Family needed him.  Eugene was a faithful Deacon and Sunday School teacher at Cedar Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Paris, TN., for many years until his health began to fail.

Eugene J. King was proceeded in death by his parents, Carey King and Elvira King, his loyal wife Immokalee King, one sister Bertha M. Powell.

Eugene loved life and will be missed by those who knew and loved him.  He leaves to morn his death his Daughter Faith N. King Webb (Houston, TX),  Bruce King (RI), Rhonda M. King-Henderson (New Orleans, LA)  Eugene J. King Jr (RI) and a special Son Mark Boston (Paris, TN), grandchildren, Victoria I. Chatman (Cory of Chicago, IL., Eric D. Webb Jr (Houston, TX), Michael Webb (San Antonio, TX.), Vernell Henderson (RI) and Chanel Henderson (New Orleans, LA), three great grandchildren Kason Webb and Makayla Webb (Houston, TX) and Jaidyn Amir Henderson (New Orleans, LA), sisters, Bessie M. Merritt, Geanette Davis (James), Dorothy L. Oglesby (all from New Jersey), one sister-in-law Jean Teague, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
