Mrs. Frances Capps, 89, of Paris died Tuesday, March 11, 2014, Henry County Medical Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2014, at Quinn Chapel AME Church with Rev. M.A. Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday at the church.
She was born July 9, 1924, in Cottage Grove, she was a daughter of the late James and Florence Dumas.
She was married on May 1, 1945, to Cornelius Capps, who died Jan. 1, 1990.
She leaves nine children: James (Shirley) Capps of Aurora, Ill., Neal Capps of Paris, Joan VanDyke of Peachtree Corners, Ga., Corlas King of Milwaukee, Avis Williams and Warner (Jean) Capps, both of Nashville, Shelvy (Berona) Capps of Lawrenceville, Ga., Angela (Larry) Teague of Clarksville and Calvin (Jeanine) Capps of Monroe, Ga.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two nieces; and other relatives.
She also was preceded in death by a son: Tony Capps; one brother; and five sisters.
