Fred "Slim" Holliday

September 29, 1932 — October 3, 2018

Mr. Fred "Slim" Holliday, 86, of Tiptonville died Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at his residence.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at St. John #2 Missionary Baptist Church in Tiptonville. Interment will follow in Citizens Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at noon on Tuesday at the church.

He was born on September 29, 1932, in Aberdeen, Mississippi to the late Ernest and Alice Holliday. Slim was a longtime and dedicated employee for Hopper Farms.

He leaves to mourn a longtime companion, Joyce Jones; a daughter, Octavia Holliday, two grandchildren, Yasmine Holliday and Rayveon Holliday; a brother, Lawrence Holliday and a host nieces, nephews and cousins.

Slim was also preceded in death by four sisters.
