Mr. George "Junior" Armstrong, Jr., 46, of Ripley formerly of Paris died Saturday, August 25, 2012, at Lauderdale Community Hospital.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2012, at Mt. Pleasant CME Church in Milan, TN. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
George Edward “Junior” Armstrong, Jr. was the son of his loving parents, George Edward Armstrong, Sr. and Lovie Barham Armstrong and was born on January 10, 1966, in Paris, Tennessee. He was reared by his late grandparents, Jack and Esther Kendall.
He was educated in the Paris and Henry County school system.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Danita Helton on January 10, 2007.
He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. In the later years of his life, he became spiritual and leaned more toward his father. He was a very loving son to his mother and father. He was a fun person, enjoying life. His kindness, lovingness
and joy will be truly missed.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife, Danita Helton Armstrong of Ripley; his children, Trevon Davis of Atlanta, Georgia, Malik Armstrong of Humboldt, Tennessee and Wesley Helton and Lillie Brown, both of Ripley, Tennessee; his parents, George E. Armstrong of Springville, Tennessee and Lovie Barham Armstrong of Milan, Tennessee; brothers, Robert Barham of Milan, Tennessee, Craig Armstrong and Joseph Calvitt, both of Murray, Kentucky and Edward Armstrong of Springville, Tennessee and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
