George "York" Claudis Conner

Mr. George "York" Conner, 81, of South Fulton died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Haws Memorial Nursing Home. Services will be held at 12p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Olds officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlea Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. He was born to the late Allie V. James and the late Claudis Conner. He was the stepson of the late Lonnie B. Daniels. He was reared in South Fulton, Tennessee and attended Rosenwald School. He worked for many years at the coal yard in Fulton, Kentucky, later at the Park Terrace Restaurant and the Lean-To Restaurant in South Fulton, Tennessee. He leaves to cherish his memories three uncles, Major Martin (Argona), Horace Martin (Louise) and Lon Martin, all of South Fulton, Tennessee; one aunt, Vivian Hubbard of Martin, Tennessee; two step sisters, Patricia Kerney and Clara Alexander, both of Fulton, Kentucky; one cousin, Harold Conner of Martin, Tennessee and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
