Georgia B. Long

Mrs. Georgia B. Long, 86, of Paris died Saturday, February 5, 2011, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2011, at The Church of The Living God on Porter Street with Rev. M.A. Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. She was born February 8, 1924, in Henry County, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Bennie Milliken Ray. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Paris and retired Henry County Office on Aging employee. She leaves a daughter: Sharon (Elroy) Tharpe of Paris; a stepson: Roland Clark of Paris; two sisters: Alla Faye Martin and Clara Mae Foster, both of Paris; two brothers: Earl (Carla) Ray of Huntsville, Ala., and Lonnie Clarence Thomas of Paris; two grandchildren: Alecia Davis of Huntingdon and AnDru Tharpe of Paris; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
