Georgia Turner

Mrs. Georgia Turner, 89, of Hickman died Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Mills Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mayfield.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Johnson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

Visitation will begin at noon on Saturday at the church.

She was born on August 13, 1935. She was the second child to Mary and Chester Hicks in Humboldt TN. They moved to Tiptonville TN, when she was young. There she found Christ, and she never stopped believing in him. She often said she knew that only God himself was the one who covered her from certain situations. While in Tiptonville she met her Angel, Lawrence “Bubba” Turner and they moved to Hickman KY.

She leaves to cherish her memories six children, Diane, She leaves to cherish her memories six children, Diane, Sydney, and Lawrence Turner, Jr., of Hickman KY, Bea Turner of Madisonville KY, Frances Turner of Columbus, OH and Shirley (Leonard) Cross of Indianapolis, Indiana, one sister, Mary Ann Young of Portageville, MO, seven grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and four great- great grand twenty-two great grandchildren, and four great- great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two grandchildren, Miles and Mikayla Cross, one great grand, Akari Turner, one brother Clarence Hicks, two sisters, Euelena Thomas and Annabell Norris.
