Mrs. Gloria Jean Billingsley, 72, of Union City died Friday, December 7, 2018, at her residence.
Services will be held at noon on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Greater Bethel Church of God in Christ. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
She was born April 18, 1946, to the late John D. Everett, Sr. and Margaret Austin Everett in Somerville,Tennessee.
She professed a hope in Christ at an early age at Farris Chapel Church of God in Christ. After moving to Union City,Tennessee, she united with Greater Bethel Church of God in Christ.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Marrice Sellars, Yvonne Carver and Zelma Everett and two brothers, Lawrence Everett and John D. Everett, Jr.
Mrs. Billingsley was a home maker who loved and adored her family.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of forty-nine years, Joe Billingsley of Somerville,Tennessee; four daughters, Lisa (Nathan) Roberson of Paducah,Kentucky and Dynesta Billingsley, Joann Billingsley and Victoria (Ozell) Frazier, all of Union City,Tennessee; two sons, William Billingsley and James Billingsley, both of Union City,Tennessee; one stepson, Sylvester (Benetra Jenkins) Harvey of Mason,Tennessee; eighteen grandchildren; eleven greatgrandchildren; one great-great-grandchild (fifth generation), Cali Alyse of Jackson,Tennessee; two sisters, Barbara Smith of Nashville,Tennessee and Linda (Robert) Johnson of Union City, Tennessee; two brothers, James Everett of Nashville,Tennessee and Charles (Virtle) Everett of Hephzibah, Georgia; one aunt, Ossie B. Austin of Memphis, Tennessee; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
