Gregoria Maria Woody

Mrs. Gregoria Maria Woody, 86, of Union City died Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023, in Eastview Cemetery.

Gregoria Maria Woody entered this life August 2, 1936. She was born to the late Edgar and Beatriz Wardrope in Cocle del Norte, Panama.

Gregoria, along with her husband, Bobby , and daughter Teresa Woody moved to Union City, Tennesse in 1965. While in Tennessee, two additional children were born, Tomas and Bobbie Woody.

She became a foster mother for the State of Tennessee in the 70’s. During this process she was blessed to adopt 6 of her foster children, Cornilios Woody, Jermaine Woody, Charketa Wade, Audarrielle Woody, Tavish Woody, and Robert Woody.

She will forever be remembered by her loved ones and her 10 grandchildren, Bryan Wilkins, C.J. Woody, Quaniah Woody, Kenzie Anderson, Justin Chappell, Kyha Crumble, Ari Terall, Damiya Woody, Kaleb Simpson and Kamryn Simpson.
