Gregory Higgins

Mr. Gregory Higgins, 51, of Hickman died Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at his home.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at noon on Saturday at the church.

Gregory Lee Higgins was born July 10, 1972, to Linda Smith and Grady Higgins in Lake County, TN.

He graduated from Fulton County High School in Hickman, Kentucky in 1992. Gregory retired from Central State in Michigan City, Indiana in December 2023 after his health began to fail. He lived in Michigan City for over 25 years.

His maternal grandparents; LeRoy and Mattie Smith, paternal grandparents; Jack and Jennie Higgins, several aunts, uncles, and cousins preceded him in death.

Gregory is survived by his devoted mother; Linda Smith Cheirs and father; Grady (Tracy) Higgins, wife; Jacqueline McCrudden (no children), four children; Akelia, Gregory Jr. (Kajahnee), Queshon (Erica) and Alexis, grandchildren, four sisters; Selina (Chris) Woods, LaVonda (Jerome) Warren, Shree (Jamie) McFarlan, and Kelly Higgins. One brother; Elvis (Sharon) Smith and stepfather/friend; Charles Johnson and a special cousin; Penny Elaine Kerney.
