Mrs. Gwendolyn Robinson, 72, of Fulton died Monday, March 12, 2018, at ContinueCare Hospital at Baptist Health Paducah.Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday March 17, 2018, at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Gwendolyn Maddox Robinson was born on October 17, 1945, to Thelma Chambers Maddox and Cecil Maddox, Sr. She attended school at Rosenwald High School. Gwendolyn came to Christ at an early age at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, South Fulton, TN. She was later baptized at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church where worshiped faithfully until her passing. On October 17, 1966, she was united in holy matrimony to the late William “Sweet Willie” O’fair Robinson. She enjoyed life and shared her love to all those around her. She was a gifted cook and songbird in her church choir. She is survived her daughters, Gwendolyn Shawnette Robinson of Fulton, KY, Frenchie Genette Robinson of Union City, TN, Jacqueline Antoinette Robinson of Fulton, KY, Tanya Sophia Robinson of Hampton, VA and Tonya Maria Robinson (Robert) Davis of Gaithersburg, MD; siblings, Rev. Cecil Maddox, Jr., of South Fulton, TN, Ardell (Mary) Maddox of Union City, TN and Shirley Beasley of Cape Girardeau, MO; grandchildren, Wesley Jamar Robinson of Fulton, KY, William Dontrel Robinson of Union City, TN, Alexis Danielle Rush of Richmond, VA, Tichina May Davis, Asha Naomi Davis and Malea Cassie Davis all of Gaithersburg, MD and J’ynia Benet Robinson of Fulton, KY; one great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
