Mr. Harold Wayne Haynes, 75, of Union City died Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at his home.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Brown Chapel AME Church. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at McPhearson-Rawls Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held at the church on Friday from noon until time of service.
Harold Wayne Haynes was born October 1, 1949, in Union City, Tennessee to Eddie Mae Mitchell and Harold Haynes.
Harold Wayne attended and graduated in 1970 from Union City High School. He held employment at Biltmore, Kinkead, and later worked at Coca-Cola Bottling Company for many years where he retired in 2012.
Harold Wayne enjoyed riding his bike and listening to his music. Harold love watching his Cowboys, Walker Texas Ranger and Family Feud. Harold Wayne was an awesome husband and father.
Harold Wayne joined Brown Chapel AME Church at an early age. He served as an usher for many years until his illness. Harold Wayne was united in matrimony to Alice Dukes, February 25, 1978.
Those left to cherish his memories are his devoted wife; Alice Haynes, his children; Angie (Maurice) Kesler of Nashville, TN, Victoria (Christopher) “Shane” Merriweather of Union City, TN, special daughter; Caja Robinson of Union City, TN, one grandson; Jaylen Kesler of Nashville, TN, granddaughter; Katelyn Dean and step-granddaughter; Shainna Merriweather, one sister; Debbie (Monica) Haynes of Tacoma, WA, one uncle; Pete Larry (Marion) Davis of Columbus, GA, two sisters-in-law; Ladon Haynes and Katie Arnold, of Union City, TN, two brothers-in-law; Bobby and Aaron Dukes both of Union City, TN, nephews; Kim Johnson, of Union City, TN, Harold Bonds of Fulton, KY, Michael Dotson, Jerry Tate, Jerry Maurice Haynes, all of Union City TN, Lorenzo Rashad of Nashville, TN, Kameron Johnson of Houston, TX, nieces; Lori Michelle Johnson of Houston TX, Tiffany (Odell) Price of Southaven, MS, Lakesha Wilkins, Tammy Dukes both of Nashville, TN, Cynthia and Katrina Arnold, Meyona Tate all of Union City, TN, Tiffany Brooke Robinson of Nashville TN, Ashley Robinson of Dallas, TX, and Gabrielle Wilson of Southaven MS.
Harold Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; Eddie Mae Mitchell and Harold Haynes, his one son Christopher Jeron Haynes, a brother; Jerry Noble Haynes, a niece; Sabrina Dean, grandparents; Roselle “Rosie” and Noble Mitchell, Sr., several aunts and uncles.
