Mr. Hobert Terry, 87, of Hickman died Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Haws Memorial Nursing Home.
Memorial services will be held at noon on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at Anointed Ministries of The Apostolic Faith with Bishop Vernon Bess officiating.
The Celebration of Life began for a little boy born in Henry, Tennessee, on Saturday, May 28, 1927, to Robert and Lovey Terry. They named their bundle of joy, Hobert.
Hobert enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 18. He served in Germany in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged after serving his country.
He was a member of Anointed Ministries of The Apostolic Faith and a retired employee of Monsanto.
He leaves to celebrate his memory: his wife, Mother Norma A. Terry; his cousin, Dr. Bobby(Ethel) Jones; his cousin, Charles(Lucille)Hayes; his daughter, Peggy(Charles)Boyd; his sisters and brothers-in-love, Mary (Willie) Simmons, and Beverly (Dennis) Dones; his special nieces,Carol Miller, Lisa Miller, Shawtrese “Treesie”Farmer, Charita Dones, and Angeletta Farmer; his special nephews, Anthony(Mecie)Farmer, Shawneric(Dorine)Farmer, Alex(Brittany)Miller, Paul(Ashley)Miller, Joel(Brianna)Miller, and Seth(Amber)Miller; his granddaughter, Katrina (Gary)Teague; his grandsons, Tony Boyd, and Eric Kinney –who preceded him in death; his great-grandsons Zachary, and Jeremy(Lindsey); sister in law Frances(Nathaniel)Miller; and a host of God-children, cousins, great nephews and nieces, great-great grandchildren, saints, loved ones, and friends.
