Ms. Ima Lue Moody, 91, of South Fulton died Friday, September 30, 2016, at Union City Nursing and Rehabilitation. Services will be held at noon on Friday, October 7, 2016, at Jacksonville Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. James Watford officiating. Interment will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday at the church.Ima Lue Moody was born on April 15, 1925, to the late W.C. Moody and Cordelia Morris Moody.
She attended school at South Fulton Rosenwald and became a member of Jacksonville Freewill Baptist Church in South Fulton, TN, at the tender age of eleven. She attended faithfully and served on the usher board and later on the Mother’s board.
Lue as she was affectionately known by her family and friends was employed at the O.K. Laundry and the Fulton Hospital. Upon the closing of the hospital she transferred to the Parkway Regional Hospital where she worked until she retired. She lived in her family home until a short illness and stay in Union City Manor where she died.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving sister, Pauline Moody, of Union City, TN; two sisters in law, Carol Moody of Ypsilanti, MI and Harriet Moody of Marietta, GA; a loving nephew, Christopher Moody of South Fulton, TN and a host of nieces and nephews, along with other family and friends to mourn her passing.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, A.T. Moody, James Moody and Elder Dr. Charles Moody, Sr.; a sister, Margaret Moody and a sister in law, Katie Moody.
