Inise Lee Willoughby

Ms. Inise Lee Willoughby, 71, of Martin died Sunday, February 5, 2012, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Services will be held at 11a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Miles Chapel Church with Rev. Paul Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in Parham Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10a.m. Saturday at the church. Inise Clemons was born September 5, 1940 in Martin Tennessee to father Elmer L. Clemons, and mother Mozell Thompson. Inise childhood along with her oldest brother Jack and cousins Casey Jones, Ceola, Carol Jean and the late Robert L. was nurtured by her grandparents Bell and Minnie Thompson. This is where she lived during her formidable years. Inise attend Weakley County Training and High School. Church life was an integral part of Inise life. She joined Mile Chapel CME Church under the leadership at Rev. Whitlow were she professed her faith in Christ and was baptized. She was very active at Miles Chapel CME Church where she would be often seen raising, and soliciting funds for neighbors in needs. Inise was united in Holy Matrimony to Daniel Willoughby who proceed her in death. No children came from this union. Having no natural children of her own didn’t stop Inise from sharing her maternal instinct. Inise shared her maternal love with many neighbors and friends all who referred to her as Aunt Inise. Before working for Martin Manufacturing, and the Tea Room, Inise moved to St. Louis Missouri in the Mid 70’s where she was employed by the University City School Board for several years. She moved back to Martin later where she proceeded to raise her nephew’s Chet and Peter Graves as her own. God adorned Inise with angelic wings on Sunday February 3, 2012. She will be missed by all especially those left to celebrate her life; mother Mozell Cavitt, brothers Jack Thompson (Betty) of St. Louis, Missouri, Vernon Cavitt (Sylvia) of Bartlett Tennessee, James Cavitt (Gladys) of Chesterfield, Missouri, Sister Alice Mae Cavitt, sister in-law Nell Willoughby, and Gwen Smith, brother in-law Cloutric Willoughby, special friends Rose Edwards, Ann Brown, all of Martin Tennessee and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
